LEO is a fun beach bar & restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Lero Bar & Restaurant is a casual restaurant specializing in Sea Food and Cocktail of the highest quality at a moderate price.

LEO’s menu is one that distinguishes itself by using a combination of audacious culinary creations as well as typical and traditional Swahili flavours, all while providing a comfort food feel.We are providing all fruits, vegetables and sea foods very fresh and organic. A careful selection of wines and cocktail have also been thoughtfully chosen in order to be paired with the menu’s dishes.

The kitchen’s concept is to create dishes as traditionally Swahili as possible, while skillfully substituting and supplementing local, fresh ingredients.

The approach to wine and liqueur at Leo Bar is pretentious.

We love to eat, to take our time and enjoy the flavours. We love Swahili seafood. Our second love is cocktail.

Our Milestones

Pia and Hasim moved to Zanzibar in 2019. Together, they have put everything they love about dining to LEO Restaurant and hope to welcome you soon.

PARADISE

For us this was really a paradise. We had really a wonderful stay in the African paradise house. The young couple that runs the place is extremely nice, they always makes sure that you are comfortable and they helped as in everything we needed, even bringing us to Paje for taking cash and shopping. I made confusion with the booking and i arrived one night before at the House, not only they were waiting for me to arrive in the middle of the night, but in the end they didn't me charge the night that i arrived before, and also invited us for breakfast. i really never seen this before. They are very friendly and help you in everything you need. the stuff is amazing , the position in great , really on the beach , and overall you fell really good and safe The food is probably the best of all the coast, with fresh fish everyday. People come from other resorts to eat here.

THE BEST HOSPITALITY IN ZANZIBAR

In all the hotels, guest houses, B+Bs, hostels I've ever stayed in (and that is a lot), I have never received a warmer welcome from Pia and Hashim, and never been looked after so well. Nothing is too much to ask! And I wasnt an easy guest! First my phone got wet, which they tried tirelessly to help dry, even gave me a bag of rice to take with me! And then when I left my wallet in their car, they had someone run it all the way to Stone Town for me for a very reasonable price. The location feels more authentic than touristy Paje, (though Paje is very easy to visit if you want to eat out). And the food was delicious - I recommend the Mixed Seafood main course! 10/10

CALM CHILL PLACE WITH BEACH FOR YOURSELF

The African paradise it's indeed a paradise .if you search for a place with no people, chill area with view on the sea, some animals and long white beautiful beach, you are on a right place. The breakfast had been lovely, the restaurant also make lunches and dinner.the staff is always smiling and extremely helpful. The owners Pia and her husband had been one of the best host I had ever seen , they took care that our stay is perfect and they could do for us almost anything! Maybe actually everything! :) Lovely people with a cool life story and a cute puppy which they've are just raising. The room was spacious with everything you need. They just stared the busines so everything is new. In the lobby they had daily schedule of the low tides and hight tides, sun set , sun rise..so you can plan your day accordingly.if you like to explore the corals and in low tide are not scared to walk far in low water levels take your shoes to water as there is sea urchines and corals are sharp too. If you wake up early the sunrise it'vs perfect spot to watch.if you are not amazed by the low tide you can use the bikes from the hotel which are for free to borrow :) We did it and it was amazing. As you can bike on the beach or explore the village next go to paje or some other places. The area is calm and beautiful. There are cows on the beach sometimes not so many massai/ beach boy or if so they are nice.not pushy etc. You can see some fisherman or locals but the beach is huge and there is almost noone . We highly recommend the African paradise especially for the hospitality and the chill are with the swing.
